GUAM, USA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES JURY AND NOMINEES
Leading the GIFF Grand Jury for judging the films in competition is Guam’s established artist and educator, Head Juror Baltazar Aguon. Also on the jury is Gabrielle Kelly, Associate Arts Professor of New York University, Tisch Asia School of the Arts. Kelly is also on the board of directors for the British Academy for Film and Television. Also included are Professor Tom Brislin, Ph.D, a Fulbright scholar and founder of the Academy for Creative Media, University of Hawaii at Manoa; and Daniel Ferranti, who has studied film at New York University and theater at University of Massachusetts Boston, and is a consultant for Warner Bros. Digital Distribution. The nominated films for Grand Jury Awards in their respective categories are as follows: Narrative Feature:

The Guam International Film Festival (GIFF) is set to begin on Friday, September 30, 2011 and run through Sunday October 2, 2011. The three day cinematic event will showcase films from over 100 submissions from 18 different countries from around the world including twenty Guam related films.
